SHEET METAL FABRICATOR (Rollformer & Trim Shop Operator):

Discount Metal Mart has a zero tolerance policy for violence and drug use in the work place.

JOB TYPE: 

• Plant City Location
• Full-time
• Monday - Friday (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
• Saturdays (7:45 AM - 2:15 PM)
• Must be able to work any of the above open hours 
• Every other Saturday is required

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferably 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment operating heavy equipment 
• Must have 2+ years forklift experience , lifting loads up to 9,000 lbs and/or more than 25 ft long
• Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance several times throughout the day
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Pass a drug test
• Reliable transportation
• Able to withstand Florida summers with prolonged standing, lifting, bending, etc.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Criminal records will be considered if details are provided and a background check matches

JOB DETAILS: 

• Operate rollformer touch screen to enter orders accurately
• Process paperwork for each order, logging the coil lot number and customer name
• Fabricate flashing for metal roofing trim packages
• Shear flat sheet metal and fold into trim pieces using a bending machine
• Operate sit-down forklift to move large metal coils weighing up to 9,000 lbs around the facility
• Load customer orders using a sit down forklift
• Put up and pull inventory as needed such as screws, closures, tacky tape, etc.
• Materials used are 29ga, 26ga and 24ga sheet metal
