I HAVE BLUEPRINTS OR AN AERIAL VIEW REPORT, CAN YOU GET MEASUREMENTS FORM THOSE?

Blueprints and aerial view reports are a great start to get you an estimate of materials, however, they will not be accurate measurements. Exact measurements are required to move a quote to a finalized an order. The customer is responsible for providing the measurements needed for their project. We cannot be responsible for coming up with and providing those measurements. If an order for panels is based off our estimate of materials from blueprints, estimated drawings, or aerial view reports, those panels will very likely be wrong.

Once the order sheet has been approved by the customer, DMM is only responsible for completing the order to the order sheet specifications. The customer is responsible for checking all orders for accuracy and signing off before manufacturing. All cut lengths, quantities, color, metal thickness and profile shape are to be provided by the customer and not based on comments or suggestions of any employee or representative of Discount Metal Mart.

CAN I ORDER MY PANELS ONLINE?

Everything you need to place an order is right here on our website. Although you can't place the order via our site, you can email us your order to sales@discountmetalmart.com and we will try to make it as seamless as possible.

We also take online quote requests that will give you an idea of your project cost. Visit the "GET STARTED" page to request a quote or visit us in person, grab a cup of coffee with us and we'll get your entire roofing package put together based off the measurements you provide.

ARE YOU OPEN ON SATURDAYS?

Yes, the Plant City location is open on Saturdays and we are the only Metal Roofing Manufacturer open on Saturdays in our area. Come see us between 8 am and 2 pm any Saturday!

The Webster location is not open on Saturdays.

HOW WIDE ARE YOUR PANELS ONCE FORMED?

Our 9-5 Max Rib, R Panel, and PBR Panels are all approximately 38" wide and provide a full 36" in coverage when they are lapped on top of each other.

Our Corrugated Panels are 24" wide in coverage.

Our Ripple Panels are 41" wide in coverage.

WHAT GAUGE DO YOUR PANELS COME IN?

26GA & 29GA for the 9-5 Max Rib

26GA only for the PBR, Corrugated, and Ripple Panels

WHICH GAUGE IS THINNEST/CHEAPEST?

26GA is the thickest we carry.

29GA is thinner and comes at a lower price.

WHICH GAUGE IS BEST FOR MY PROJECT?

This depends on your county's building code. For example, Polk county requires 26GA and does not allow 29GA on any permitted project. Hillsborough county allows 26GA or 29GA. Know your county's code requirements if you are pulling a permit.

26GA is thicker and is associated with better quality and ability to withstand wind speeds, however, as long as your county's code allows it, the choice is a personal preference.

WHAT LENGTHS DO YOUR PANELS COME IN?

We will custom cut panels as short as 3 feet and as long as 54 feet depending on the metal gauge and profile you select. We can also cut the length in 1/8 inch increments so you can have the perfect fit for your project. Below are the maximum lengths we can cut for each panel and gauge:

  • 9-5 Max Rib in 26GA, up to 54'
  • 9-5 Max Rib in 29GA, up to 30'
  • PBR in 26GA (not available in 29GA), up to 54'
  • Corrugated in 26GA, up to 12'
  • Ripple in 26GA, up to 12'

NOTE:

  • Any panels 40 feet or longer will need to be loaded onto the customer's vehicle as it comes off the rollformer. The customer will need to be prepared to pick up at the time of manufacturing.
  • Any panels over 28 feet will cause screw holes to expand faster than panels under 28 feet. Metal expands and contracts with varying temperatures. The longer the panel, the wider a screw hole will get during that expansion and contraction process. Expanded screw holes require screw replacement.

Our operation does not deliver, however, we have a few 3rd party delivery services we can refer you to.

HOW SHOULD I BE PREPARED TO PICK UP MY PANELS?

Florida statute states that no load shall extend beyond 4 feet of the taillights on any vehicle or trailer. As an example, if you have ordered 22 ft long panels, you must have a vehicle or trailer that will accommodate at least 18 ft of your panels, which would ensure only 4 ft would extend beyond the taillights.

Our staff is happy to load any orders that comply with the above statute.

WE WILL NOT LOAD (NOR ALLOW YOU TO LOAD) ANY PANELS THAT EXTEND BEYOND 4 FT FROM THE TAILLIGHTS OF ANY VEHICLE OR TRAILER - PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY AND PLEASE DO NOT GET UPSET WITH US IF YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LOAD OR LEAVE WITH YOUR ORDER.

Trust us, we've heard it all:

Cousin wouldn't let you barrow their trailer? Sorry

Just going 1/2 mile down the road? Sorry

But it's just a country road? Sorry

You'll take the responsibility if you are pulled over or cause an accident? Sorry

The law does not allow us to make exceptions to this policy - please plan accordingly.

HOW FAST CAN YOU TURN AN ORDER AROUND?

We can usually turn your order around within 24 hours depending on how fast you approve your order and make the payment. Sometimes if it's a small order we can usually make it the same day.

Once your order has been made, we request that you pick it up within 5 business days. Orders left more than 15 days will be charged a storage fee.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Unfortunately, we can not take any custom cut panels or trim back. Your project is unique and unfortunately, we are not equipped to find a buyer needing your exact measurements in the color you selected. We will try our best to accommodate you for standard accessory items that are not opened, in re-sellable condition, and do not have adhesive on them. We kindly request that all returns be made within 72 hours of leaving the property to help us better serve your refund.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?

We accept cash, checks and credit cards in person or we can send you a payment link for credit cards via text or email. Due to recent increase in credit card fraud, we cannot accept any credit card numbers read to us over the phone.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY?

All orders must be paid in full before orders are manufactured. Unfortunately, once we cut your custom lengths, it is highly unlikely we will find another buyer for your custom lengths in the color you've selected so we would be out the cost of the material and labor if orders are not picked up.
